Director of Artificial Intelligence

Lead enterprise AI strategy, governance, innovation, and implementation across a fast-evolving digital and media ecosystem in Abu Dhabi.This role will be responsible for building and scaling AI capabilities, driving automation and advanced analytics initiatives, enabling AI-powered products and services, and establishing enterprise AI governance frameworks aligned with business objectives and national digital transformation priorities.The ideal candidate combines deep technical AI expertise with executive leadership, innovation, and enterprise transformation experience.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead the enterprise AI strategy and roadmapBuild and scale AI capabilities across the organizationLead implementation of Generative AI, Machine Learning, NLP, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation solutionsEstablish AI governance, responsible AI, and enterprise AI operating frameworksIdentify and prioritize AI use cases delivering measurable business impactPartner with Data, Digital, Technology, Editorial, and Business teams to drive AI adoptionLead enterprise AI architecture, AI platforms, and AI lifecycle governanceDrive AI innovation programs, experimentation, and emerging technology initiativesOversee AI vendors, technology partners, and implementation programsDevelop executive dashboards, AI KPIs, and value realization reportingBuild and mentor high-performing AI, Data Science, and Analytics teamsEnsure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standardsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or related fieldMaster’s degree preferred12–15+ years of experience in AI, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Digital TransformationProven experience leading enterprise AI transformation initiativesStrong experience in:Generative AIMachine LearningNLP & LLMsAI GovernancePredictive AnalyticsIntelligent AutomationCloud AI PlatformsEnterprise AI ArchitectureHands-on experience with Azure AI, AWS AI/ML, Databricks, OpenAI, or similar ecosystemsStrong stakeholder management and executive communication skillsExperience building and managing AI teams and transformation programsExperience within media, government, digital platforms, telecommunications, financial services, or large enterprise environments preferredPreferred SkillsAI Operating Models & Responsible AIAI Product DevelopmentAI-driven Audience IntelligenceData Governance & AnalyticsAI Automation & Process OptimizationAI Security & ComplianceMLOps & AI Lifecycle ManagementStrategic Innovation Leadership
