Reporting to the Senior Director, Governance, Risk & Compliance, you will provide strategic oversight of enterprise-wide risks while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, governance standards, and risk appetite.This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering actionable risk insights and driving a proactive risk culture across the organization. You will oversee strategic, operational, financial, technology, and compliance risks while leading risk assessments across critical environments including cloud platforms, data centres, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI systems, and emerging technologies. The role plays a key part in strengthening organizational resilience, enabling informed decision-making, and supporting Core42’s long-term growth and sustainability.Your Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Core42’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, policies, methodologies, and governance processes.Develop, review, and maintain the organization’s risk appetite framework in collaboration with executive leadership and key stakeholders.Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and facilitate risk workshops to identify, evaluate, prioritize, and monitor strategic, operational, financial, compliance, and technology risks.Maintain enterprise risk registers and ensure effective tracking of risk ownership, controls, mitigation plans, and remediation activities.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that align with Core42’s business objectives, governance requirements, and risk tolerance levels.Assess and monitor risks across IT infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, data centres, cybersecurity domains, business continuity programs, and strategic initiatives.Partner with Cybersecurity, Engineering, Operations, and Technology teams to evaluate technical risks and integrate findings into enterprise risk reporting and governance activities.Lead operational risk management activities, including vendor and third-party risk assessments, business process risk reviews, and control effectiveness evaluations.Prepare executive-level risk reports, dashboards, heatmaps, and risk insights for senior management, governance committees, and other stakeholders.Act as the Management Representative for ISO 31000 and ensure alignment of enterprise risk management practices with applicable standards and frameworks.Ensure compliance with relevant risk management frameworks, standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements, including ISO 31000, COSO ERM, ISO 27001, and related governance standards.Drive enterprise-wide risk awareness initiatives, workshops, and training programs to strengthen risk culture and accountability across business and technical functions.Utilize Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platforms to automate risk processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance operational efficiency.Design and optimize workflows related to risk acceptance, policy exceptions, audit findings, compliance obligations, and remediation tracking.Support audit readiness initiatives, risk treatment planning, budgeting activities, and continuous improvement of risk management capabilities.Assess risks associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with responsible AI governance principles.Evaluate cloud-native services and cloud governance controls to ensure alignment with organizational risk appetite and industry best practices.Support the development of enterprise risk metrics, key risk indicators (KRIs), and maturity assessments to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.What We’re Looking ForRequired Skills / QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Information Security Risk, Technology Risk, Cloud Risk Governance, or related disciplines.Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise risk management frameworks within complex and fast-paced organizations.Strong understanding of risk management methodologies, governance principles, and enterprise risk assessment techniques.Experience conducting technical risk assessments across IT infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, data centres, cybersecurity programs, and AI systems.Knowledge of security and risk management frameworks, including NIST, ISO 31000, COSO ERM, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.Familiarity with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platforms such as ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, or equivalent solutions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to translate complex risk issues into actionable business recommendations.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and executive reporting skills.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Risk, Security, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Audit, Compliance, and business teams.Preferred Skills / QualificationsProfessional certifications such as CRISC, CIRM, CDPSE, ISO 31000 Risk Manager, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, NIST Risk Management Framework, COSO ERM, or equivalent.Experience within AI, cloud computing, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, or highly regulated industries.Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and standards, including ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), EU AI Act, and emerging AI regulatory requirements.Experience developing enterprise risk dashboards, key risk indicators (KRIs), board-level reporting, and risk maturity assessments.Familiarity with DevSecOps, cloud-native architectures, cybersecurity governance, and technology transformation initiatives.Strong understanding of third-party risk management, operational resilience, and business continuity management practices.Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, influence stakeholders, and embed a strong risk culture across diverse business environments.What Working at Core42 OffersWith a diverse team of 1,100+ employees from 68 nationalities, we foster an inclusive, innovative and collaborative environment.
