Generative AI Solutions Architect

Edison Smart is looking for an experienced Generative AI Solutions Architect to join our partner's team on a contract basis, delivering for their end client, based onsite in Dubai. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on architect with a strong consulting background who wants to drive impactful GenAI and data transformation projects in the region.📍 Location: Dubai, UAE (hybrid - candidates local to Dubai strongly preferred)📄 Engagement Type: ContractAbout the RoleOn behalf of our partner, we're supporting the delivery of Generative AI architecture solutions, from LLM strategy and platform selection through to secure, production-grade deployment. You'll work closely with our partner and the end client's stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, responsible, and compliant GenAI solutions, bridging strategy and execution.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and design Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based applications, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, agentic workflows, and prompt/model orchestrationEvaluate and select appropriate foundation models, hosting approaches (cloud vs. on-prem/sovereign), and GenAI tooling based on client requirementsDefine data architecture and integration patterns to support GenAI use cases (vector databases, knowledge bases, data pipelines)Lead technical workstreams across GenAI strategy, governance, security, and responsible AI practicesEngage directly with end-client stakeholders (via our partner) to gather requirements, run workshops, and define solution roadmapsEnsure architecture aligns with security, data residency, and regulatory standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (ML engineers, data engineers, business analysts) across our partner's and the client's organizations to deliver projects on timeProvide thought leadership on GenAI trends, emerging tools, and best practicesRequired QualificationsProven experience as a Generative AI Architect, AI Solutions Architect, or similar senior technical role with hands-on GenAI/LLM project deliveryStrong understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt engineering, and agentic AI frameworksConsulting experience is essential - comfortable working in a multi-stakeholder environment (contractor, partner, client), managing expectations across parties, and translating business requirements into technical solutionsPrior experience working within Financial Services and/or Public Sector environmentsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and enterprise data architecture/governanceMust be based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, and available to work onsiteExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable navigating a partner-led delivery modelNice to HaveExperience with data sovereignty/residency requirements relevant to UAE financial services or government sectorsFamiliarity with responsible AI / AI governance frameworks
