Job OverviewThe Business Engagement in the Data Analytics Department will play a key role in bridging business and data analytics teams to drive data-driven decision-making, promote data culture, and deliver strategic insights. This individual will lead engagement initiatives with business stakeholders, identify and prioritize analytics projects, and ensure alignment with business objectives to create value for Miral. The Director of Business Engagement needs to have a deep expertise in Data and analytics to drive the Business towards efficient and technically sound solutions.Job ScopeStakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their goals and data needs. Act as a strategic advisor to communicate the value of data analytics in achieving business objectives.Business Alignment: Work with senior management to align analytics initiatives with business priorities, identifying key opportunities to leverage data to enhance business performance.Project Prioritization & Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver impactful data analytics projects that meet evolving business requirements.Change Management: Lead change management efforts to drive data literacy and a data-driven culture across business units, ensuring effective adoption of data insights and analytical tools.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for data-driven transformation and insights, driving the adoption of analytics across the organization.Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the impact of data initiatives on business outcomes and ensure alignment with business objectives.Communication and Advocacy: Act as the primary voice for the Data Analytics Department in business forums, translating complex analytical insights into actionable business recommendations for non-technical audiences.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business engagement processes and data workflows, promoting best practices in data governance, data quality, and compliance.Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics to bring innovative solutions to business engagement and problem-solving.Analytical & Data Expertise:Provide deep analytical leadership by translating complex data, advanced analytics, and modelling outputs into clear business insights. Guide the application of statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytics (e.g., predictive and prescriptive insights) to ensure business decisions are evidence-based, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data standards.Job EssentialsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.10+ years in business engagement, analytics, or related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.10+ years of relevant experience within particular area of expertise data analyticsKnowledge and SkillsTechnical Skills: Hands-on experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau), data governance frameworks, Data warehouse platform and a solid understanding of advanced analytics techniques. Good experience in Statistics, Machine learning and AI are desirable.Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking and a deep understanding of business operations and performance drivers.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for business audiences.Presentation Skills: Deliver impactful presentations to executive and business audiences, effectively communicating insights, project outcomes, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering solutions that align with business objectives.
