Candidate ProfileThe Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) should combine founder capability, technical depth, and commercial judgment. The role is intended for entrepreneurs capable of building venture-scale companies in Physical AI rather than managing mature businesses.Essential RequirementsPrevious founder, co-founder, or senior leadership experience in a technology startup.Demonstrated experience in robotics, including industrial, service, autonomous, or mobile robotics.Strong expertise in computer vision, including perception systems, object detection, tracking, inspection, navigation, or visual AI applications.Practical experience applying AI and machine learning to real-world physical systems.Experience taking products from concept to commercialization.Strong customer discovery and product-market validation capability.Ability to recruit, lead, and motivate high-performing technical teams.Experience working with multidisciplinary hardware and software engineering teams.Strong commercial judgment and venture-building mindset.Preferred ExperienceOne or more of the following:Physical AIAutonomous systemsEdge AISensor fusionSLAM and localizationRobotics simulation and digital twinsIndustrial automationManufacturing technologyWarehouse automationDrone or aerial roboticsMedical roboticsHuman-robot interactionVenture capital, venture studio, or deep-tech startup experienceSeed or Series A fundraisingPersonal AttributesFounder mentality with a strong bias for execution.Comfortable operating under uncertainty.Evidence-based decision maker.Highly resourceful and capital efficient.Strong systems thinker with commercial instincts.Able to bridge engineering, research, and business.Motivated by long-term ownership and value creation.CompensationThe Entrepreneur in Residence is engaged to create long-term shareholder value. Accordingly, compensation is primarily equity-based and aligned with the successful creation and scaling of new ventures.Base CompensationNo fixed salary.Mojay holding may provide a modest monthly stipend and reimburse approved business expenses during the incubation period.Venture EquityFor each venture approved and funded by Mojay, the EIR will be eligible to receive founder equity of up to 20%, subject to:Four-year vesting.One-year cliff.Monthly vesting thereafter.Continued active involvement.Future dilution through fundraising.The final equity allocation will depend on:Quality of the opportunity.Technical and commercial contribution.Capital invested by Mojay.Stage of the venture.Presence of additional founders or key executives.Performance-Based EquityAdditional equity may be awarded at Mojay’s discretion upon achieving significant milestones, including:Successful customer validation.MVP completion.First commercial revenue.Strategic partnerships.External funding.Material enterprise value creation.LiquidityThe EIR participates in the economic upside of vested equity upon an acquisition, IPO, secondary sale, or other approved liquidity event.GovernanceAll equity awards are subject to:Good Leaver and Bad Leaver provisions.Intellectual property assignment.Confidentiality obligations.Restrictive covenants.Mojay’s shareholder and equity incentive agreements.The objective is to align the EIR’s rewards directly with long-term shareholder value creation rather than fixed compensation.
