It is home to a diverse community of leading scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers from across the globe, transforming problems and roadblocks into pioneering research and technology prototypes that help move society ahead.Artificial Intelligence and Digital Research CentreAs part of TII’s Artificial Intelligence Research Center, the Extreme-Scale Language Model team is developing and implementing innovative deep learning technologies with a broad range of applications, from Natural Language Processing to Perception and Vision. Our team has developed the Falcon models and is now planning to continue our journey into cutting-edge applied research in the topic of large language models.ResponsibilitiesBuild products and MVPs on top of the models.Fine-tune the models for domain-specific use cases.Design evaluation pipelines and benchmarks for fine-tuned models.Build and maintain product backends and front-end interfaces to integrate and showcase models capabilities.Work with researchers and engineers to move models from lab to product.Translate product needs into model capabilities and technical requirements.Optimize model performance and user experience.RequirementsStrong coding skills in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, etc).Hands-on experience fine-tuning large models.Knowledge of LoRA, prompt tuning, RLHF or similar methods.Experience with cloud, GPU environment, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.Experience with backend development frameworks.Experience with frontend frameworks.Ability to quickly build prototypes and iterate.Good communication and teamwork.QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldStrong experience in applied AI software developmentAt TII, we help society to overcome its biggest hurdles through a rigorous approach to scientific discovery and inquiry, using state-of-the-art facilities and collaboration with leading international institutions.
