Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer — Agentic AI

This is a full-time, on-site position in Abu Dhabi. It is not a remote or hybrid role.SPsoft is looking for a hands-on Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and operate production agentic AI systems in close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.This is a build-first individual contributor role for an engineer who can own delivery — from understanding a real business problem and defining the solution to implementation, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.Important: Hands-on Python proficiency is mandatory. Candidates must be strong, production-level Python developers who can independently design, write, debug, and maintain complex Python code. The day-to-day work involves direct Python development. The interview process therefore includes a practical coding assessment to confirm hands-on Python proficiency.What you will buildYou will develop production AI solutions that connect large language models with business APIs, enterprise data sources, internal workflows, and conversational interfaces.The work may include agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, API integrations, voice and chat interfaces, workflow automation, monitoring, and production optimization.What you will doWork directly with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into practical AI solutions.Design and develop production-grade AI services using Python.Build LLM and agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, tool integrations, and supporting backend services.Integrate AI solutions with internal systems, databases, APIs, and third-party services.Own delivery across development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.Work with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and observability.Troubleshoot technical and operational issues in collaboration with on-site teams.Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and technical decisions clearly.Required experience4+ years of relevant software engineering or AI engineering experience.Strong commercial experience with Python.Hands-on experience building and deploying production LLM, generative AI, RAG, or agentic AI solutions.Experience with REST APIs, system integrations, databases, and backend services.Practical understanding of Docker, cloud environments, CI/CD, and production monitoring.Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of delivery.Fluent English and strong stakeholder communication skills.Readiness to work full-time on-site in Abu Dhabi.Willingness and ability to undergo the required UAE government security-clearance process.Additional strengthsExperience with MCP, structured tool calling, or multi-agent systems.Experience with Voice AI or conversational AI solutions.TypeScript or Node.js experience.Kubernetes or infrastructure-as-code experience.Previous work in enterprise, regulated, or security-sensitive environments.Previous experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders.Relocation and employment supportUAE employment visa and employee medical insurance are provided.The initial flight to the UAE and a return flight at the end of the assignment are covered.Apartment search and local arrival assistance are provided.The employee is responsible for the cost of long-term accommodation.The current assignment is planned through the end of 2027, with the possibility of extension.Candidates of all nationalities may apply, subject to client approval and successful UAE government security clearance.
