Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join the IT team of one of our Dubai-based clients.The ideal candidate will have around five years of software engineering experience, having started their career in development before progressing into AI-focused roles. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who can build AI solutions while confidently communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and wider business teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and deploy AI applications end-to-end, from prototype through to production.Develop AI-driven workflows using foundation models, LLM APIs, prompting, tool calling, and RAG.Integrate AI capabilities into products and backend services.Guide AI coding agents while maintaining ownership of architecture, security, code quality, and maintainability.Build evaluation, testing, and monitoring frameworks for quality, safety, latency, and cost.Evaluate emerging AI tools and provide build-versus-buy recommendations.Work closely with IT and wider business stakeholders on technical and business-wide projects.Explain technical concepts and AI solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.RequirementsAround five years of experience in software engineering, development, or related technical roles.Strong hands-on developer background, with progression into AI, ML, or generative-AI-focused positions.Experience building and deploying AI or ML applications in production environments.Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs and generative AI patterns, including prompting, tool calling, and RAG.Good understanding of ML fundamentals, software architecture, security, and maintainable code practices.Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.Willingness to complete a technical assessment as part of the interview process.If you have a strong engineering foundation and enjoy building practical AI solutions that create real business impact, we would love to hear from you.
