They migrated everything to a world-class, centralised cloud environment, establishing a pristine state-of-the-art enterprise data platform. The engineering foundation is built, the data is clean, and the pipelines are locked down. Now, they need an enterprise value extractor to completely own the front-end of data science, advanced analytics, and consumer intelligence. Operating with a startup/builder mindset backed by massive corporate scale, you'll turn under-utilised, multi-market datasets into direct commercial growth, applied machine learning deployment, and monetizable data products. The Remit:Front-End Value Extraction: You own the ultimate conversion of enterprise data into commercial advantage. This role bridges complex algorithmic modeling and executive strategy, ensuring advanced analytics move past passive dashboards into clear, actionable narratives that inform real leadership decisions. Advanced Data Science & AI Implementation: Machine learning, Generative AI, LLMs, and advanced predictive analytics are core, non-optional requirements. You will embed AI directly into daily business workflows to optimise product, price, promotion, demand forecasting, and personaliaation. True Data Monetization: You'll lead the economic commercialisation of data assets across a massive partner ecosystem and internal Retail Media Network, with clear, multi-million-dollar profit-generation goals. Full Lifecycle Consumer Intelligence: You own marketing, digital, CRM, and loyalty analytics across an expansive omnichannel ecosystem spanning thousands of physical stores, apps, and digital platforms. Team Scaling & Culture: You will champion a community of practice, scaling and mentoring multi-disciplinary, high-performing data science and insights teams across the GCC and international technical hubs. What This Role Is NOT❌ Not an Engineering Role: You are not responsible for building data pipelines, cloud architecture, BI platform maintenance, or heavy governance infrastructure. A dedicated backend Data Engineering Director owns that piece. You are a strategic consumer of the platform. ❌ Not a Reporting Factory: If your focus is building static reports or passive KPIs, this isn’t the right fit. This is a value, insight, and decision leadership mandate. Who You AreThe Rigorous Practitioner: You have a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a deeply technical discipline, backed by 15+ years of experience across data science, customer analytics, or advanced consumer modeling. Deep Technical DNA: You bring hands-on fluency in Python/R, SQL, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost), recommendation systems, causal inference, and industrialising LLMs or NLP-driven automation. Consumer-Centric Leader: You have a proven track record operating at an executive level within complex, multi-brand B2C environments (e.g., pure-play online tech giants, e-commerce marketplaces, digital consumer apps, or massive omnichannel retail/hospitality groups). The Storyteller: You possess the unique ability to translate highly technical data modeling and algorithmic outputs into clear, commercially compelling narratives for C-suite stakeholders.
