AI Engineer Work Location: Abu Dhabi, UAERole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision to design, build, and deploy scalable AI solutions for real-world applications.This role involves owning the full lifecycle of computer vision systems—from data pipelines and model development to production deployment and optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop computer vision models for tasks such as object detection, image classification, OCR, document understanding, and video analyticBuild and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, preprocessing, annotation, training, evaluation, and deploymentOptimize models for performance, scalability, and cost across cloud and edge environmentWork with large-scale, real-world datasets (noisy, unstructured, multilingual) and implement strategies to improve data quality and model robustnessDeploy models into production using APIs, microservices, or streaming systems for real-time and batch inferenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, product) to integrate AI solutions into applicationsMonitor model performance in production and implement retraining and continuous improvement workflowsStay up to date with advancements in computer vision, including transformer-based models and multimodal systemsMentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in AI engineering and MLOpsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on computer visionHands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCVProven experience building and deploying CV models in production environmentsStrong understanding of deep learning architectures (CNNs, Vision Transformers, detection/segmentation models)Experience with OCR and document processing is a plusSolid programming skills in Python and experience with data processing librariesFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker)Experience with MLOps practices (model versioning, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines)Preferred QualificationsExperience with multimodal models (vision-language systems)Knowledge of edge deployment and model optimization (quantization, pruning, ONNX, TensorRT)Experience with real-time video processing or streaming pipelinesFamiliarity with annotation tools and dataset management workflowsPrior experience leading AI projects or mentoring teamsWhat We’re Looking ForSomeone who can take AI systems from concept to production—not just research prototypesStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work with imperfect dataClear communicator who can translate technical solutions into business impactOwnership-driven and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
