A large part of the tools that power our services we build ourselves, and our developers already work with AI support every day. To take this to the next level, we are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer who will own the strategic, technical, and responsible use of artificial intelligence across our products.Your ResponsibilitiesImplement and integrate AI features into our self-developed tools and platformsBuild and maintain API connections to LLM providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, open-source models)Develop and optimize prompts and prompt architectures for production use casesCompare AI models systematically by quality, speed, data protection, and especially cost, and give clear build-vs-buy recommendationsEvaluate fine-tuning, RAG, and training models on our own dataEnable our development team to use AI tools efficiently and safely (best practices, internal guidelines)Track new models, tools, and pricing developments and translate them into concrete value for the businessAssess where data flows when using external AI services, in line with GDPR and data security requirementsReview third-party terms of service (AGB/ToS) for data-protection and usage-relevant pointsWork together with our legal counsel to keep our own customer terms around AI features legally sound (no legal degree required, but a good sense for legal topics)Your ProfileProven experience working with LLMs and their APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI, Hugging Face)Solid programming skills, ideally Python, with experience in REST APIs and backend integrationStrong, hands-on prompt engineering skills and the ability to evaluate and select modelsSound understanding of data protection / GDPR and responsible handling of dataCost-conscious mindset with the ability to justify technical decisions commerciallyAnalytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven working styleFluent in English; German is highly preferredNice to have: RAG, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector), fine-tuning, hosting/server environments (Linux, Docker, CI/CD), or a basic understanding of IT/contract lawWhat We OfferLong-term position in a stable, internationally growing companyOpportunity to shape and build up the company’s AI strategy and capabilitiesHigh level of ownership and direct impact on our productsModern working environment with flat hierarchies and short decision pathsCompetitive salary and long-term career perspectiveCollaboration with international teams in Germany and DubaiHow to ApplyPlease complete the application survey linked in this posting.
