Data Scientist – Credit Risk (Financial Services)Dubai (Hybrid)We’re working with a leading financial services organisation in Dubai looking to hire a Data Scientist focused on credit risk modelling and portfolio analytics.💡 What you’ll be doing• Build and enhance credit risk models across retail or corporate portfolios• Analyse large financial datasets to identify risk trends, portfolio performance, and early warning signals• Support IFRS9 provisioning, stress testing, and capital modelling initiatives• Work with structured and alternative datasets to improve segmentation and predictive insight• Monitor portfolio health and deliver dashboards/reporting to key stakeholders• Collaborate with risk, underwriting, and product teams to translate insights into actionable credit strategies• Contribute to documentation, governance, and regulatory compliance of models✅ What we’re looking for• Experience within banking, fintech, or lending environments in a Data Science / Credit Risk Analytics capacity• Hands-on model development experience across credit risk or lending models (PD, LGD, EAD, application or behavioural scorecards)• Strong statistical background (logistic regression, decision trees, GBM, segmentation, survival analysis)• Proficiency with Python or SAS plus SQL for data extraction and analysis• Good understanding of the credit lifecycle and model monitoring / recalibration concepts• Familiarity with IFRS9, Basel, stress testing, or model governance frameworks is highly desirable• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders Show more Show less
