Job Description

Position SummaryThe Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University of Sharjah invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in AI-driven testing, verification, and fault/threat diagnosis. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in reinforcement learning, machine learning, and intelligent system validation while collaborating with faculty, graduate students, and interdisciplinary research teams.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and assessment of reinforcement and other machine learning algorithms for testing and threat detection.Publish high-quality journal papers and present at top-tier conferences.Develop software prototypes and experimental evaluation frameworks.Supervise and collaborate with graduate research assistants and students.Professional ExperienceProven experience of development of reinforcement learning, neural networks, deep learning, Generative AI models and algorithms.Education And Academic QualificationsPhD in Computer Science/Engineering with expertise in machine learning.Hold a PhD awarded from a reputable institute within the past four yearsProficiency in Python, Java, or C/C++; strong debugging and validation skills.Skills & CompetenciesStrong publication record in areas such as in reinforcement learning and other machine learning algorithms.Knowledge of formal modeling, testing, verification, and fault diagnosis / threat detection is recommended.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams.How To ApplyInterested applicants should fill out the form.AUS alumni are encouraged to apply.
